CAPE GAZETYE, Friday, January 3 - January 9, 1997-19 Michael Short photos r, Meals on Wheels of Lewes-Rehoboth honors volunteers Meals on Wheels of Lewes and Rehoboth Inc. honored its many volunteers at a special vol- unteer luncheon on Friday, Dec. 20 in Lewes The volunteers were treated to a visit from San- ta Claus and a Christmas dinner with tons of trimmings. Shown from left are some of the vol- unteers with Tracy Evans (center), the outreach/volunteer coordinator. Shown are Joe and Fran Baker who were honored with the "Loving Your Fellow Man" Award, Teresa Blake who volunteers in the group's office, Board Treasurer Carl Holloway Jr., Bob Taylor who was hon- ored for filling in as a Meals on Wheels driver and Tom Seery, the board president who helped the group raise $8,000 during the Zaffere auction in Rehoboth Beach last summer. Not shown are Doris Taylor, wh6 was honored with her husband Bob, and disc jockey Sky Brady, who do- nated his services to entertain at Friday's volunteer luncheon. At right, J.J. Catts donated the proceeds from ome of the Seashore Strider running races to Meals on Wheels of Lewes and Rehoboth Inc. on Friday, Dec. 20. Catts is shown presenting the proceeds from the race, which totaled approximately $220, to Meals on Wheel's Tina Wright. Farkas of Lambertville, Mich., re- cently announced the engagement of their daughter Amy Elizabeth llScott C. Andrews, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. An- drews, formerly of Lewes. Farkas holds a masters degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University, and complet- ed her undergraduate work at Central Michigan University. Andrews, a 1985 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School, re- ceived a masters degree in electri- cal engineering also from Johns Hopkins University.
