Richard Winchester, Long & Foster retiree Richard Charles Winchester (Dickie), 79, of Millsboro, died peacefully at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Va., Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, with his family by his side. He was born in Wilmington July 8,1934. Mr. Winchester graduated from Archmere Academy as a member of the Class of 1953. He was a graduate of Dickinson Col- lege Class of 1957. He also served in the U.S. Army as a captain. He retired from Long & Foster Real- tors. Mr. Winchester was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching his Philadelphia Eagles play every season. Mr. Winchester was prede- ceased by his wife of 47 years, Joanne N. Winchester; and by his parents, Henry McComb Winchester Sr. and Anne O'Toole Winchester. His eldest brother, Henry Mc- Comb Winchester Jr., passed away Dec. 22, 2013. Mr. Winchester is survived by his sister, Jane Winchester Asbill Gra- ham; his brother David G. Winchester; his daughters, Julie Win- chester Davis (Halbert) of R. Winchester Fredericks- burg and Kerry Winchester Clark (Jerry) of Millsboro. He is also survived by four grandchildren whom he loved and adored, Albert Myles Clark, Austyn Charles Clark, Addelyn Christine Clark and Haleigh Winchester Davis, as wen as by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mass of Ciristian'Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, for Richard and Henry Wi_nchester at St. Jo- seph on the Brandywihe Roman Catholic Church, 10 Old Church Road, Greenville. She retired as a switchboard operator at the Stockiey Center in Georgetown. She was a member of Grace United Methodist in Millsboro, and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Millsboro. In addition to her parents she was pre- ceded in death by her hus- band, Thomas W. Lynch Sr.; and a daughter, Joan McCabe. She is survived AnitaLynch by a daugh- ter, Adele L. Pritchett of Midlothian, Va.; a son, Thomas W. Lynch Jr. and his wife Susan of Georgetown; seven grandchildren, Thomas W. Lynch III, Jennifer Lynch, Bran- don Pritchett, Leigh Pritchett, Jeremiah Pritchett, Scott Lynch and Crystal McCabe; and four great-grandchildren.
