"2013 has been a whirlwind. The unique concept is taking Sussex County by storm, and we are doing just what we are supposed to be do- ing," said Maloy. Unique among thrift shops Unfinished Business gives 85 percentof its profits away to a different nonprofit organization each year. Traditionally thrift shops are owned and operated bythe organizations that get the financial benefits. "Not us," says Maloy. Every year or every two years, a different organization will be chosen to receive sup- port. This year, the profits go to CAMP Rehoboth. "I was a big fan of CAMP Rehoboth before we opened and now, well, I am their l iggest cheerleader. CAMP runs great programs, doesn't waste money, is focused and caring all at the same time," said Maloy. The structure is not the only difference in Unfinished Busi- ness versus the traditional thrift shop. It is small, compared to others in the area. "But we are mighty," says.Maloy. "We have 60 to 80 percent turnaround in inventory every 25 days, which means there are always new and interesting treasures to be found. Plus, every day, items at drasti- cally reduced prices are always available."
