44 FRIDAY IANUARY 3- MONDAY, JANUARY 6, 2014 BUSINESS & ilEAL ESTATE Cape Gazette edwaprScott SUBMITTED PHOTO DISABLED U.S. ARMY VETERAN Edward Scott recently released "Cos- metic," a collection of 51 poems. Edward Scott releases 'Cosmetic,' a poetry collection Disabled U.S. Army veteran published book of 51 poems in September Edward Scott, a disabled U.S. Army veteran now living in Vio- la, has released a new collection of poetry, "Cosmetic," published by Jazzy Kitty Publishing in Newark. Released in September 2013, the collection contains 51 poems. Scott says his nontraditional approach to poetry derives from the interaction of everyday ex- periences like conversations between people and everyday tasks like work, with his own branched-off thinking process and imagination. "In an attempt to capture my silent mind's altered ego, my flashflood imagination would lay down on anything which I could write upon - napkins in restau- rants, bills from creditors, my notepads in the most remote of places, and so on. On the whole, this is how my diamond in the rough evolved," he says. Scott has worked for the State of Delaware for 19 years. He holds a degree in jour- nalism from Delaware State University in Dover. To see the book online, go to and type "Ed- ward Scott Cosmetic" in the search window. "Cosmetic" can be purchased at any online book- store. Price varies from $9.98 to $15.99. The book's ISBN is 9780989265669.
