Children of Men: A futuristic society faces extinction when no children are born and the human race has lost the ability to repro- duce. England has descended into chaos, until an iron-handed-war- den is brought in to institute mar- tial law. The warden's ability to keep order is threatened when a woman finds that she is pregnant with what would be the first child born in 27 years. Stars Julianne Moore and Clive Owen. Rated R. Code Name: The Cleaner: An amnesiac janitor, who is duped into thinking he is an undercover agent, is subconsciously carrying a secret that can link the FBI with --an arms scandal. Freedom Writers: A dedicat- ed California teacher finds a way to unify her disadvantaged, racial- ly divided students, and to improve their grasp of academics, partly by having them keep jour- nals about their violent, troubled lives. Stars Hilary Swank. Rated PG-13. Black Christmas: "Black Christmas" is a remake of the 1974 slasher classic about a psy- cho terrorizing a sorority house during the holiday season. Rated R. We Are Marshall: A true story, based on devastating events, set in Huntington, W. Va., about a small town steeped in the rich tra- dition of college football. For decades, players, coaches, fans and families have come togetter to cheer on Marshall University's "Thundering Herd." For this team and this community, Marshall football is more than just a sport, it's a way of life. Rated PG. Rocky Balboa: Former/ heavyweight champion Rock2 Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) steps out of retirement and back into the ring, pitting himself against a new rival decades after his initial glory. When a computer simulated box- ing match declares Rocky Balboa the victor over current champion Mason "The Line" Dixon, the leg- endary fighter's passion and spirit are reignited. Rated PG. The Good Shepherd: Edward Wilson understands the value of secrecy - discretion and commitment to honor have been embedded in him since childhood. As an eager, optimistic student at Yale, he is recruited to join the secret society Skull and Bones, a brotherhood and breeding ground for future world leaders. Rated R. Night at the Museum: Good- hearted dreamer Larry Daley, despite being perpetually down on his luck, thinks he's destined for something big. But even he could never have imagined how big, when he accepts what appears to be a menial job as a graveyard- shift security guard at a museum of natural history. Rated PG. Charlotte's Web: Fern is one of only two living beings who sees that Wilbur is a special ani- mal as she raises him, the runt of the litter, into a terrific and radiant pig. As Wilbur moves into a new barn, he begins a second profound friendship with the most unlikely of creatures - a spider named Charlotte - and their bond inspires the animals around them to come together as a family. Stars Dakota Fanning. Rated G. Eragon: A boy named Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest. At first, he thinks it's a lucky discovery, something that will bring meat to his pqor family for the winter. Instead, it brings a dragon hatchling, and Eragon is soon thrust into a world of magic and power through which he and the dragon must navigate. Rated PG. The Pursuit of Happyness: Chris Gardner is a bright and tal- ented, but marginally employed salesman. Struggling to make ends meet, Gardner finds himself and his five-year-old son evicted from their San Francisco apart- ment with nowhere to go. When Gardner lands an internship at a prestigious stock brokerage firm, he and his son endure many hard- ships,, including living in shelters, in pursuit of his dream of a better life for the two of them. Blood Diamond: Set against the backdrop of civil war and chaos in 1990's Sierra Leone, Danny Archer, a South African mercenary, and Solomon Vandy, a Mende fisherman are joined in a common quest to recover a rare pink diamond that can transform their lives. While in prison for smuggling, Archer learns that Solomon - who was taken from his family and forced to work in the diamond fields - has found and hidden the extraordinary rough stone. Rated R.
