Free Market Analysis We can determine your home's value in today's market By Jen Ellingsworth Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar is slated to begin construc- tion later this month at a site in the Rehoboth Outlets Seaside on Rt. I. The new Applebee's will be lo- cated in the grassy area in front of Eddie Bauer, and is set to open its doors in April. The opening of its Rehoboth Beach location will be the Delaware debut of Applebee's. Currently the chain boasts 233 es- tablishments nationwide. Apple South Inc. is a multi-con- cept restaurant company which, in addition to being the largest oper- ator of Applebee's restaurants in the country, also owns 59 Don Pablo's Tex-Mex restaurants, 12 Harrigan's Grill and Bar estab- lishments and 10 Hardee's fast food restaurants under franchise agreements. "We have a site and we're antic- ipating to begin construction at the end of this month," said Apple South Inc. public relations manag- er Dianne Yost. "We're really ex- cited." Yost said the restaurant will ful- fill a need for the local community and its economy. "Clearly, it will fill a niche," she said. "It will provide an alternative, popular place for people to eat. The menu offers everything and is family-friendly. It will bring peo- ple a needed element at a value price." Applebec's restaurants are designed to respond to the grow- ing demands of the population aged 35-54. Applebee's boasts a mid-priced, 60-item menu which features clas- sic and original appetizers, a large selection of hamburgers and sand- wiches, and an assortment of "Su- per Salad" entrees as well as a broad selection of specialties, such as grilled chicken and steak entrees and Mexican, Italian and Cajun dishes. The menu also includes popular American dishes like steak and fibs. According to background infor- mation provided by Apple South Inc., Applebee's features "a mod- erately-priced menu, typically ranging from $5.75 to $7.25 for lunch and $7.25 to $8.75 for din- ner, as well as American classics and a wide selection of side dish- es, soups and salads and a com- plete children's menu and an array of delicious desserts." The 4,600 square foot Rehoboth Beach Applebee's will have a seating capacity of 169, and will include a full-size bar located in its center. In addition, Applebee's will create 107 additional parking spaces, and employ 75 people. Applebee's will be open daily for lunch, happy hour and dinner.
