This ses- sion will finish just in time for job placement for the tourist season." Sussex Tech Adult Ed Division has announced the Dec. 2 graduation of the first JTPA Retail Certificate class. The graduates received 322 hours of training in the dynamics of the retail industry, delivering superior customer service, ad- vanced selling skills, visual merchandising and product pre- sentation, store operations, selling floor and service polices, and loss prevention. The students also received intensive training in communications skills, interpersonal skills and workplace ethics. All classes were held in Rehoboth Beach. This JTPA program is designed to prepare students for po- sitions as entry-level retail managers, professional sales asso- ciates, customer service associates or sales support associ- ates. The program is funded through the Delaware Private In- dustry Council. Seven students graduated from the Retail Certificate Train- ing Program.
