52 - CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, January 16 - January 22, 1998 Angle Moon photo Rehoboth-Dewey chamber dedicates new welcome sign Members of the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce dedicate the new Welcome to "Your Gateway To Year Round Fun" sign, which now stands in the median strip across from the Comfort Inn and Mulligan's on Route 1, between Rehoboth Beach and Mid- way. The chamber has raised $2,000 toward the cost of the $3,000 sign through business spon- sorship; more sponsors are sought. The sign was made by Phillips Signs, Inc. of Seaford and DelDOT aassisted in its placement. There had previously been a welcome sign in that vicini- ty, which fell into disrepair and was removed. So the chamber's Route 1 Advisory Committee decided to embark on the project of erecting a new sign that also thanks visitors on the north- bound lane side.
