The Mae Hall McCabe award is given to someone who receives little financial or social recognition for volunteering. Carney founded the Delaware Beach Brigade and routinely volun- teers at the University of Delaware Virden Center. Carney's next volunteer project will be with Delaware Hospice, she said.
