CAPE GAZETTE- Friday, January 26 - Monday, January 29, 2007 - 75 Submitted photo Milford Memorial kicks off celebration Bayhealth Medical Center-Milford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary officially kicked off its centennial celebra- tion on Jan. 15 with official proclamations by state legislators and Milford Mayor. Ronnie Rogers. The auxiliary unveiled its cam- paign for the year, in which it will give 100 items each month to a different department within the hospital or charity in the area. _The auxiliary's first campaign is to sign up 100 new blood donors for the Blood Bank of Delaware. Local residents can help by donat- ing blood in the name of the aux- iliary. In the coming months, the aux- iliary will also assist Head Start, the Community Food Pantry, the SPCA, and Toys for Tots, to name a few. The "auxiliary will be doing many things within the hospital as well. Each month, containers will be placed Outside the Reflections Gift Shop and outside the hospital cafeteria to receive donations based on each month's theme. Many of the items .the auxiliary collects will be used in various departments of the hospital for patients and staff. Additionally, all Bayhealth employees who_ come to Reflections Gift Shop during their birthday month will receive a small gift and an opportunity to enter a drawing for a gift basket to be awarded to one employee each quarter.
