Delaware Hospice has been able to provide quality care and ease the burden for patients and families throughout the state of Delaware since 1982 thanks to the involvement of many generous individuals. Fundraising and volunteer efforts ensure that Delaware Hospice can offer its programs tO everyone, regardless of their abil- ity to pay. Last year's 'Festivals of Trees were held in New Caste, Kent and Sussex Counties and the year- long efforts of hundreds of volun- teers raised more than $240,000 to support services to patients and families in Delaware. The Festival of Trees showcas- es beautifully decorated trees and wreaths and holds several fun- filled activities for families. Volunteer committees organize and manage the set-up, entertain- ment, decorations, tree and wreath sales, children's activities, hospi- tality, publicity, auctions and raf- fles. Individuals are invited to get involved with this worthwhile organization in one of the many volunteer roles available as Festival of Trees Committees begin organizing for the 2007 Festivals.
