The following menus are for Cape Henlopen School District elementary and middle schools. (Lewes Middle School also offers a "hot bar" in addition to the menu listed below): Monday, Feb. 7: Cereal and toast, fresh fruit or juice, milk; lunch - oven-baked chicken nuggets, potato surprise, steamed broccoli, choice of fruit, milk. Tuesday, Feb. 8: breakfast - cereal and toast or warm waffles, fresh fruit or juice, milk; lunch - taco with meat filling, lettuce, tomato, cheese, corn, choice of fruit, milk. Wednesday, Feb. 9: breakfast - cereal and toast or cheese omelet with toast, fresh fruit or juice, milk; lunch - sausage patty, French toast, hash browns, orange juice, milk. Thursday, Feb. 10: breakfast - cereal and toast or pancakes, fresh fruit or juice, milk; lunch - egg roll, steamed rice, broccoli, for- tune cookie, pineapple chunks, milk. Friday, Feb. 11: breakfast - cereal and toast, fresh fruit or juice, milk; lunch - toasted cheese sandwich, tomato soup, choice of fruit, milk. The following menu is for Cape Students focus on library studies The Jefferson School has an active Library Studies pro- gram. Each class takes bi-weekly trips to the Georgetown Library where they explore which books they may want to take home. Students in kindergarten and first grade have their own library cards. The students have also learned to use the card catalog to look up subjects they are learning about in school or have a personal interest in. Above, the pre-school class is being taught about the card catalog by a staff librarian. Members of the class shown are Chelsea Lewis, Annie Lockard, Seen Beck, Spencer Adams, Katie Meyer and Emma Glasscock.
