Charles was born Aug. 9, 1931, the son of the late Charles Jr. and Margaret Stuchlik, so small that he fit into a shoe box. He was the owner and manager of Solar Heating Inc., Sussex Electric before retiring to Arizona in 1997. Charles had several patents, one of which is sell- ing in the HVAC market called EZ Trap. He was a mem- STUCHLIK ber of the Independent Order of Oddfellows, where he became the grand master for the state of Delaware in the early 1960s and a master Mason. Charles also served on the Sussex County Board of Adjustment for more than 20 years. Charles is survived by his wife of 56 years, Llywella; sons Charles IV and his wife Kristie, Terry and his wife Kelly, and Tim and his wife Laurie; grandchildren Ashley, Erin, Ben, Tracie Succarotte and her husband Pat, and Drew; broth- er Bud and his wife Jane; and sis- ter Joana Donovan and her hus- band Vincent; Aunt Polly; and many nieces and nephews A memorial will be held at ll a.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Vista de la Montana Church in Tucson. A celebration of his life will be held at noon, Saturday, March 3, at Goshen Hall, 114 Federal St., Milton. The family suggests donations to Casa de la Luz Hospice, 400 Megee St., Tucson, AZ 85704. The family cannot say enough about the Wonderful care given to Charles and all the family during his time there. Arthur M. Abrams, retired custodian Arthur M. Abrams Sr., 80, of Smyrna, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Abrams was born in Wilmington, son of the late Rufus Melvin Abrams and Mary Augusta Porter Abrams. He had formerly lived in Newark, moved to Lewes in 1995, and then relocated to Smyrna in 2004. Mr. Abrams had served as the chief custodian of the Christina School District for 25 years. He enjoyed gardening, WWF wrestling, antique cars and country music. He cherished his wife Evelyn and enjoyed nothing more than being with her. He took great delight in spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is sur- vived by his wife of 56 years Evelyn L. Wright Abrams; five daughters, Linda Jean Allen of New Castle, Jacquelyn Williams of Smyrna, Terri Sue Miller of Mary Del, Md.; Debra Marie Honacher of Smyrna and Dawn Lynnette Sullivan of Manchester, N.H.; two sons, Arthur Melvin Abrams Jr. of New Castle, and Mark Allen Abrams of Newark; five sisters, Jean Spry of Newark, Dolores Urillo of Newark, Anna Schrader of Townsend, Ruth Bourden of Wilmington and Betty Smith of Northeast, Md.; two brothers, Paul Abrams of Millsboro and William Abrams of Newark; 21 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Mr. Abrams was predeceased by two daugh- ters, Donna Lee Abrams and Sue Abrams, and a beloved grandson, Aaron Abrams, in 2004. Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 8, with Pastor MikeHaley officiating, where friends may call at 10:30 a.m. Interment will fol- low in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may also call from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 7, at the Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce Street, Smyrna. Memorial contributions are sug- gested to Delaware Hospice, Kent County Chapter, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19903. Dorothea S. Abbott, retired nurse Dorothea Spence Abbott, 82 ,of New Castle, Delaware passed away at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007. Mrs. Abbott was born on January 6, 1925 in Wilmington, Delaware. She was the daughter of the late Joseph C. Spence and Anna May (Weaver) Spence. She graduated from Delaware School of Nursing as a registered nurse. Mrs. Abbott worked for the Delaware Division Hospital for several years and later worked for Dr. Thomas and Dr. Hershon's office in ABBOTT Richardson Park, Delaware. She retired in 2000 after 54 years in the nursing field. She was prede- ceased by her husband, James Edward Abbott, Sr., November 2006. She is survived by sons James E. Abbott Jr. and his wife Deborah of Charlotte, N.C., Joseph Wayne Abbott and wife Barbara of Milton; grandsons James E. Abbott, III, and wife Jennifer of Lansdale, Pa. and Nicholas Ryan Gauger; grand- daughters Rachel L. Hilbish and her husband David C. of Carrolton, Ga., Julie Ann Adams, Jamie Renee Gauger, and Jenny Lynn McFadden; and great-grand- childen Megan Emily Abbott, Caitlin Ashley Abbott, Dillon Isaacs Adams, Madison Olivia Adams, Brandon Joseph Kelly, Matthew Hilbish and Mark Hilbish. Services will be held at the Chapel of Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Delaware at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, with entomb- ment to follow.
