Leery comes to the facility to give lessons to residents on how to use the in- ternet: Since he began volunteering, many of the residents now spend hours on the computer and are in touch with relatives they were unable to communicate with in the past, The Cape Gazette joined Team Rehoboth Beach at the Gay Games held last summer, July 31 through Aug. 6, in Cologne, Germany. Dr. Tom Waddell, who competed in the decathlon for the United States in the 1968 summer olympics in Mexico, started the Gay Games in 1982. They have been held every four years since that time. The Team Rehoboth Beach bowlers competed in three different events: team, pairs and individual competition. Bill McManus advanced to the semi-finals, but no medals were won by the bowling team. Shown in Cologne with their Cape Gazette are, left to right Bruce Robertson from Norfolk, VA; David Nelson from Rehoboth Beach; Bill McManus-Team Rehoboth Beach president from Rehoboth Beach; and Barry Adkins from Dagsboro. They were'the four- member bowling team representing Team Rehoboth Beach, a non-profit athletic team' which primarily sends members to the Gay Games every four years..
