CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, February 21- February 27, 1997 - 33 Bayhealth Medical Center offering "Safe Sitter" class in March Bayhealth Medical Center at the Milford Memorial Hospital cam- pus will offer a two-day "Safe Sit- ter" course for youth ages 11 to 13. Safe Sitter is a medically ori- ented instructional series that teaches handling emergencies when caring for small children. Sponsored by the Women's Wellness & Resource Center, the goal of the program is to reduce the number of accidental and pre- ventable deaths among infants and Spellman to discuss skin cancer at Beebe seminar Beebe Medical Center is offer- ing a series of free seminars called "Focus on Health." The seminars offer a variety of health topics presented by Beebe Medical Cen- ter physicians. "Skin Cancer" is a lecture and discussion which will be given by Beebe Medical Center Oncology Surgeon James E. Spellman, Jr., oncologist, on Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 7 to 8 p.m. in Beebe Med- children. Air medical informa- tion, including basic life saving techniques, is taught by certified professionals. Safe Sitter participants receive the tools necessary to become more confident babysitters. They also learn safety and security pre- cautions such as what to do if a stranger comes to the door and how to summon help.
