40 - CAPE G ZETrE, Friday, February 21- February 27, 1997 Faust number one For the calendar year 1996 Skip Faust of Coldwell Banker Rehoboth Resort Re- alty has again been recog- nized as Coldwell Banker Residential Affiliate's num- ber one salesperson in the state of Delaware, receiving top honors in Listing Sold, Closed Units, and Gross Com- missions Earned. Here Faust receives one of his statewide awards from Coldwell Banker Rehoboth Resort Re- alty General Sales Manager;, Gene Plummer. One year ago, Coldwell Banker became an integral member of the largest real estate network in North America, merging with HFS, Inc. REAL ESTATE SETTLEMENTS Auction Continued from page 38 Interest in the March 2 auction is already humming, "as we have a handful of Delawareans in all three counties who are interested in low digit tags." In fact, it just so happens that NASCAR's Jeff Gordon, winner of the Daytona 500 whose Chevrolet sports the number 24, is co-sponsored by the duPont Company of Delaware and Emmert has been in contact with his business manager, speculating there may be some interest in the tag from this angle. The tags seem to bring a higher price when sold in Rehoboth Beach than anywhere else "be- cause we have a higher profile and have a great clientele." People like to come to the beach on a week- end in spring for this type of event," Emmert said. For those not in the market for a low digit Delaware license tag at a six digit price, there is plenty more to chose from in every price range. Take the 1956 Bentley S1 James Young Saloon, a very rare example of this model, or the 1963 Austin Healy Mark IV Mod- el 3000 BN7, which has been completely restored. The personal property of eight Delmarva families as well as the entire Elizabeth Rash estate from St. George's will be up for sale beginning at 12:30 p.m., with in- spection from 10 a.m. to noon. (The Number 24 tag will be sold at 3 p.m., as will a second Delaware tag - 952.) Besides the antique furniture, new condo furniture, paintings, jewelry, firearms, Oriental rugs, rare duck decoys, a coin collection and baseball cards, there will be a variety of circa 1950s dolls, such as Pattie Play Pals still in the wrappers, Barbies and G.I. Joes, which are now extremely hot on the market. But perhaps the most interesting item of the lot is what Emmert be- lieves to be a child's slave collar, made of brass and leather and en- graved with the name John Patter- son. The collar, which came with some confederate coins that had been in a family for generations, will receive further scrutiny for authenticity prior to the auction. The terms the day of the auction are cash or personal check with ID , with a 5 percent buyer's premi- um added to all purchases. Col. Mustard of Dewey Beach's Phat- burger phame will be selling re- freshments. For more information call Em- mert Auction at 227-1433 or 227- 2714.
