CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, February 21- February 27, 1997 - 43 Dunkelberger appointed Grotto COO Dominick A. Pulieri, president of Grotto Pizza, Inc., announced that Lawrence G. Dunkelberger has been appointed as Chief Oper- ating Officer of the company. Dunkelberger's responsibilities will include strategic planning and development as well as coordinat- ing corporate administration and management of each busi- ness unit. Throughout Dunkelberger's ca- reel he has successfully directed asset management operations for real estate holding companies and financial institutions in both Delaware and Pennsylvania. He has been called upon as a consul- taut to restructure business enti- ties, targeting increased produc- tivity and profits while streamlin- ing staffing levels. He developed and successfully implemented time management, quality control and proactive management initia- tives resulting in improved effi- ciency and higher customer saris- faction. Dunkelberger assumed his posi- tion on Jan. 1, 1997. Mears named employee of year Joyce Mears, office manager of the Georgetown branch was re- cently named Sharp Energy's Em- ployee of the Year. Meats joined Sharp Energy in 1979 as a cus- tomer service representa- tive. In 1983, she became a data entry clerk and ad- MEAR8 vanced to of- fice manager in 1993. Her dedica- tion to Sharp Energy's customers and respect for other Sharp Ener- gy employees earned her this honor. Mears is an active member of Providence United Methodist Church. She enjoys gardening and crocheting. She and her husband, Dale, live in Georgetown with their two daughters. Sharp Ener- gy, a subsidiary of Chesapeake Otitlities Corporation, is a locally owned supplier of propane to homes and business on all of Del- marva. Pool management worskshop March I at YMCA Michael Joyce from the Delaware Division of Public Health will be at the Sussex Family YMCA on Saturday, Marc h I to discuss revisions to the State of Delaware regulations governing public pools. The meeting, which will begin at 10 a.m. will include information concerning the measuring standards for "oxygen reduction potential" (ORP) and the equipment necessary for obtaining these measurements. Joyce will also address questions public pool managers and operators may have concerning their facilities. The meeting is open to the public and there is no fee.
