44 - CAPE GAZETYE, Friday, February 21- February 27, 1997 PostNet managers attend seminar Thomas and Victoria Kopunek, managers of PostNet Postal and Business Services in Midway Shopping Center, attended the fourth annual Franchise Owner's Convention held Feb. 7-9 in Las Vegas. According to Kopunek, the meeting was "very beneficial for literally hundreds of small business owners to come together at a conference like this so we continue our entrepreneurial edu- cation, become informed about changes and technological ad- vances in our industry, and most importantly, share experiences and ideas." PostNet Postal and Business Services has just opened in Rehoboth Beach in February. Accounting Georgetown Chamber moves to new site The Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce has relo- cated its office from Market Street to the site of the former train sta- tion on Layton Avenue. The move to the larger quarters was necessi- tated by the chamber's growing membership; it now represents 92 businesses and individuals. The Georgetown Chamber also announced new hours for its of- fice. It will now be open from noon until 5 p.m. weekdays. Cristaldi joins Jack Hngo Realty Lou Cristaldi has recently joined Jack Lingo at its Rehoboth Beach office as a sales associate. Cristaldi holds a bachelor of sci- ence degree in engineering from Widener University in Chester, Pa., and is a registered profession- al engineer in the State of Delaware. He brings exten- sive market- ing, sales and service expe- rience to Lin- go gained through 20 years with CRISTALDI E.I. DuPont and Compa- ny, Inc., and his more recent posi- tion with Delmarva Power. The Philadelphia-area native has been a Rehoboth Beach home- owner for 16 years. A member of the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Rehoboth Beach Homeowners Association, Cristaldi resides on Delaware Avenue. Space available at Summer Job Fair Companies and employers are urged to reserve space now for the 1997 Summer Job Fair to be held Friday and Saturday, March 21 and 22, at the Baycenter in Dewey Beach. The fair will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The cost, which includes one table, four chairs, table linens, pipe and drape and a business sign, is $115 for two days and $75 for one day. Space is limited and on a first come, first serve basis. For infor- mation and registration, call the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce at 227- 2233, ext. 11. Roadhouse donates to Sussex charities During this season of giving, the Roadhouse Steak Joint, of Re- hoboth Beach and Wilmington, is lending a helping hand to those less fortunate. The restaurant do nated 500 holiday dinners to fou charitable organizations, who dis tributed the food to ensure a hot meal for many this holiday sea- son. The dinners are a complete nu- tritious meal including turkey, stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls and pie. Casa San Francisco served their holiday dinner to help seniors in their area. Crisis Health, a shelter in Georgetown, and Meals on Wheels of Lewes served their meals on Christmas Day. The Emmanuel Dining Room, a shelter in Wilmington, served their holiday meal the week of Christmas. Employees complete Merrill Lynch training Daniel Tidwell, vice-president and manager of the local Merrill Lynch office recently announced today that Constance Dulin and David Tidwell have completed the Business Finanical Services train- ing program. Dulin and Tidwell completed one and a half days of on-site training at Princeton, NJ to learn specific investment strate- gies and techniques for helping business owners chart a financial course for business success. Merritt named new DEC finance chief Seaford resident Glen E. Merdtt has been named chief financial of- ricer of the Greenwood-based Delaware Electric Cooperative with responsibilities for account- ing, collections, consumer ser- vices and finance. Merritt graduated from Laurel High School and holds an associ- ate degree in business administra- tion from Delaware Tech Owens Campus and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Wilmington College. Presently a master's in business administration candidate at Wilmington College, Merritt is an evening accounting instructor at Delaware Tech. Co-op general manger E.
