Owls, WWII topics Join Seaside Nature Center manager Chris Bennett Friday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. for an evening "Owl Prowl" in the pine forests of Cape Henlopen State Park. Before heading out into the woods, learn about the ecology of these fasci- nating birds and how to identify the owls commonly found in the park. The program is limited to 20 participants and pre-registration is required. The program fee is $1 per person. Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. Did you know that an owl flies on silent wings and capture prey in total darkness? Learn all about at Cape State Park these intriguing creatures in the comfort of the Seaside Nature Center auditorium Saturday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. in the one-hour video, "Owls up Close." Another program at the Nature Center will feature the history of Fort Miles, the coastal defense works built under the watchful eye of the U.S. Army in 1941. Join volunteer Eric Pearson for his popular program, "World War II comes to Cape Henlopen," on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m., and learn about Fort Miles, the Cape Henlopen Light House, the Delaware breakwaters and more.
