Howard E. Jones, U.S. Navy veteran Howard E. Jones, son of Pauline and Gerald Tart of Lewes, entered into rest Thurs- day, Feb. 9, 2012. Memorial servic- es for Mr. Jones, 57, of North Au- gusta, S.C., were conducted Sun- day afternoon, Feb. 12, at 5 p.m. in the Posey Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Chris Wyatt officiat- ing. Veterans honors will be rendered. Howard E.Jones Mr. Jones was a native of Milford, and had made North Au- gusta his home for the past 21 years. He was a member of Bel- Ridge Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Jones was a quality control engineer with Sa- vannah River Nuclear Solutions with 30 years of service. He was an avid golfer and had served as the tournament director for the United Way Golf Tournament for several years. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Julia ]ones; two sons and their wives, ]eremia and Amy ]ones of North Augusta, and Travis and Laura Jones of Aiken; four grandchildren, McKenzie Jones, Carson Jones, Emily Jones and Danielle Cunningham: a brother, John Jones and wife Karen of Chicago, Ill.; three sis- ters, Frances Doughten and hus- band Jim of Milford, Patricia Schaffer and husband Ed of Mil- ton. and Barbara Donahue of Georgetown; a stepbrother, Ger- ald Tarr Jr., and stepsisters, Cyn- thia Truitt and Collette Pepper, all of Lewes. Mr. Jones was pre- ceded in death by his biological father, Samuel Jones. Lee C. Bubernak, former Milton resident Lee C. (nee Ossenbach) Buber- nak, 63, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, from a sudden heart attack in Medford, N.J. Lee was born Dec. 18,1948, and last resided in Milton. She is sur- vived by her sister Karen Read- ing of Sarasota, Fla. A celebration of Lee's life will be held at a future date and time.
