22 - CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, February 25 - March 2, 2000 Lions host youth Dewey Beach Lions Club hosted its annual Youth Night at the Rusty Rudder, Feb. 16, with dinner for members and guests and a magic show by Jack Noel. Milton student's work to be performed soon Joel Clark of Milton Middle School is one of 12 student au- thors whose works will be pre- sented by Child's Play Touring Theater. Clark's work will be staged Tuesday, Feb. 29, at Caesar Rod- ney High School. Other works will be performed Monday, Feb. 28, in the auditorium at Delaware Technical & Community College, Georgetown. Child's Play is a professional traveling theater group for young audiences that performs stories and poems written by children, transforming young writers' man- uscripts into plays, songs and po- ems. The company, founded in 1978, is based in Chicago but delights audiences throughout the United States. About 2,600 students from Delaware and surrounding Penn- sylvania submitted original work., to Children & Families First thi, fall. Manuscripts were sent to Chicago to be reviewed by Child's Play, who then selected 11 works to be perfomlcd  well as Students who recelV fionorable mention for their efforts.
