Friends may visit with the fam- ily from 10:30 to 11 a.m., Friday, March 2, at Gebhard Funeral Home, 531 Delaware St., New Castle, followed by an 11 a.m. service. Burial will be in Glebe Cemetery, New Castle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Delaware Hos- pice, 3515 Silverside Road, Wilm- ington, DE 19810. Charles O. Flynn, Navy veteran Charles O. Flynn, 85, of Lewes, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was born in Washington, D.C., Nov. 17, 1926, son of the late Daniel lames and Margaret (Bell) Flynn. Mr. Flynn was a Navy veteran of World War II and worked as a division chief for the Naval Yard in Charles Flynn Washington, D.C. following the war. He and his wife moved to Delaware in 1989. He enjoyed gardening and carpentry. Mr. Flynn is survived by his wife, Peggy (Kinna) Flynn of Lewes; two daughters: Peggy Colleen Neske of Lewes and Su- san Kae Mersman of Brandy- wine, Md.; two granddaughters: Amy Marie Mersman and Stacey Nicole Hassler; and a grandson Edward Ross Mersman. The familyexpresses their debt of gratitude to the Lewes and Rehoboth Station 3 crew, Route 24, Lewes, for the many times they answered the call for assistance with Mr. Flynn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, March 2, at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes; friends may call at the church beginning at 10 a.m. In- terment with military honors will be private at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Md. Phillips, infant daughter Grace Catherine "Gracie" Phillips, 8-week-old daughter of David and April Phillips of Del- mar, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at A.I. DuPont Children's Hospital in Wilmington. Gracie was born Dec. 30, 2011, at Christiana Hospital in Newark. In addition to her parents, she is suryived by her 2-year-old sis- ter, Abigail Rose Phillips; grand- parents, the Rev. Michael and Tina Marie 'Phillips and Bruce and Rosalee Manser, all of Del- mar; great-grandparents, Cather- ine Phillips Lane of Gumboro, Jim and Rachel Wallace of Salis- bury, Md., Albert Mauser Sr. of Berrysburg, Pa., and Norman and Shirley Shaw of Eden, Md.; aunts and uncles, Mike and Ashley Phillips, Jason and Bethany Copeland, all of Laurel, and Paul and Alessandra Mauser of Del- mar; and cousins, Trey and Derek Copeland and Nate and Hope Phillips.
