Hosted by Brian ]ennings, a bi- ologist with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service at the Chesa- peake Bay Field Office, this pres- entation will highlight wildlife habitat restoration projects on the Delmarva Peninsula includ- ing their purpose, funding and restoration techniques. Types of restoration projects such as wetland restoration, re- forestation and grassland estab- lishment will bediscussed. Light refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m. An Evening at the Hook, held at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month, highlights this na- tion's abundant and diverse natu- ral resources, particularly close to home at Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge. These hourlong programs in the refuge auditorium provide an opportunity to learnqntriguing facts about plants, animals, envi- ronment and cultural history. This year's procla- . marion will come at 7 p.m., Mon day, March 12, at theLewes City Council meeting. At that time, Lewes Mayor Jim Ford will proclaim Wednesday, April 25, as Red Hat Day in Lewes. Lewes is a special place for the Red Hat Society as the Crowned Jewels, a multistate Queens Chapter, is registered with the organization as a Lewes, Delaware chapter. After the decree, members of the Red Hat Society will ask to be dismissed from the city coun- cil meeting.
