The Senior Advantage Real Estate Council (SAREC) gives the SRES designation after Realtors demonstrate their requi- site knowledge, experience and expertise to be a senior's real estate specialist and counselor. After completing its education program along with other prereq- uisites, the Shanaphys earned their SRES designations and are now qualified to assist seniors (defined as people at least age 55) in making knowledgeable deci- sions when buying, selling or renting real estate. The SAREC tracks the special issues and needs of senior proper- ty owners. The SRES is a nation- SItANAPI-IY SHANAPH'Y ally recognized designation intro- duced by the SAREC in 1997. The Shanaphys have also earned their e-Pro designations. The e-Pro certification program is the only one of its kind recognized nationwide and endorsed by the National Association of Realtors. The economic development strategy will foster federal and local partnerships to address Delaware's economic develop- plan of action for their business.
