Submitted photo Tickets are still available for Milford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary's 13th annual Chinese Auction from 6 to 10 p.m Saturday, March 18 at the Milford Senior Center. In a Chinese Auction, participants receive tickets they use to bid on items donated by area businesses and artists. This year's event features a live and silent auction. Seats are $50 per person or $400 for a table of eight. This year's auction is sponsored by Dr. Edward E Quinn III of Dickinson Medical Group and Steve West from Eagle 97.7 FM will serve as emcee. A dinner buffet catered by Jay Walls will be available from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and the auction begins at 7:30 p.m. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening. To purchase tickets or make a donation, call 422-7853 or 422-8297. Funds received from the Auction are directed to the Bayhealth Healthcare Scholarship Fund. The Auxiliary scholarship program began in 1990 to assist in nursing recruitment. Bayhealth's Human Resources department has a comprehensive plan to recruit, train and maintain a quality patient care staff for Bayhealth. Since 1990, more than $250,000 has been funneled through this fund for scholarships. Scholarship applications may be obtained .by contacting Bayhealth's Human Resources Department at 302- 744-7143. The purpose of this program is to encourage can- didates to return to Bayhealth upon completion of their education.
