Rated R. Twilight - A top-shelf cast of Oscar winners, including Gene Hackman, Susan Sarandon and Paul Newman, "Twilight" is filled with crooked characters and an equally crooked plot. Rated R. U.S. Marshals - A spin-off from "The Fugitive," the latest in- stallment features Wesley Snipes in the Harrison Ford r01e, while Tommy Lee Jones reprises his shrewd character. The film also features the now-imprisoned Robert Downey Jr. Rated R. Krippendorf's Tribe - Richard Dryfess plays, an anthro- pologist who turns his family into a "lost" South American tribe in order to continue his government research grant. The movie stars comediennes Lily Tomlin and Jenna Elfman (TV's "Dharma & Greg") and is based on the novel by Alan Parkin. Rated PG-13. Dark City - A paranoid fanta- sy directed by Kiefer Sutherland (star of "Lost Boys" and "Flatlin- ers" and son of perennial bad guy Donald Sutherland), "Dark City" tells the tale of a fugitive from a weird government experimental facility who winds up being hunt- ed down as a suspect for a string of serial murders. It's a moody movie produced by Alex Proyas, who many may remember as the maestro of another dark and omi- nous film, "The Crow." Rated R. Kissing A Fool - Keeping tempo with other sitcom stars who attempt to make the leap from the March 6 - March 12, 1998 small to large screen, "Friend" David Schwimmer stars as a man who tests his fianc6e's devotion by asking his friend (Jason Lee) to try to seduce her. Bonnie Hunt ("Jumanji" and "Jerry Maguire") serves as narrator for this twisted .love triangle. Rated R. The Full Monty - An unem- ployed British steelworker needs to make some quick cash. Played by Robert Carlyle ("Trainspott- ting"), this industrious chap de- cides to take matters into his own hands by enlisting the help of his buddies and opening a male strip club, A clever comedy that has earned Academy Award nomina- tions for Best Picture and Best Di- rector, ''The Full Monty" features full-frontal humor (and a '70s-in- spired soundtrack to boot). L.A. Confidential - Another nominee for "Best Picture," this drama - based on the book by ac- claimed crime novelist James Ell- roy - not only rescued "Batman" bombshell Kim Basinger from a mediocre film dry spell (and also earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress), but merited a rerelease at many cine- mas. Set in Hollywood 1950, "L.A. Confidential" depicts a time in which bad cops and celebrity secrets rule the day. The cast also includes Danny DeVito, Kevin Spacey, James Cromwell, Guy Pearce and Russell Crowe. Rated R. The Wedding Singer - For those who never tire of the "Chicken Dance" or jamming out to Kool & the Gang's "Celebr:a- don," there's this film, which starts funny man Adam Sandier ("Hap- py Gilbert") in the title role and Drew Barrymore ("Scream") as his dippy waitress sidekick. Rated PG-13. Good Will Hunting - The most gifted person at MIT is jani- tor Will Hunting, played by Matt Damon. Rated R. As Good As It Gets - As an obsessive-compulsive writer, a single mother/waitress and a gay artist, Golden Globe winners Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt team with Greg Kinnear ("Dear God" and "Sabrina") to form an unlike- ly friendship. Nicolson and Hunt may score Oscars for their roles, as well as Best Supporting Actor nominee Kinnear. Rated PG- 13. Titanic: Director James Cameron, leading lady Kate Winslet and supporting actress Gloria Stuart (making a stellar comeback from her days as a star- let of '40s films) have all earned Oscar nominations for this whale- sized Best Picture nominee. Of course, we'd be remiss not to mention the leading man, Leonar- do DiCaprio, who makes this an unsinkable best bet at the helm of the box office. Rated PG-13. Senseless: Marion Wayans is a desperate college student who tries to keep his poor family afloat by undertaking a high-paying medical experiment that no one else will dare try. Also features an appearance by N.Y. Knicks' Patrick Ewing. Rated R.
