Church to host March 13 Hymn Sing The Zion United Methodist Church on Route 16 near Milton will-hold a Hymn Sing at 4 p.m., Sunday, March 13. Iraqi war vigil, service set at Epworth March 19 In observance of the second anniversary of the beginning of the Iraqi war, there will be a vigil and prayer service Saturday, March 19, at Ep- worth United Methodist Church, 20 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach. The candlelight vigil will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by a formal prayer service from 2 to 3 p.m. The service will include reading of scriptures, a litany, homily, music and an annointing. For more infor- mation call 227-7743. Bingo, brownies set at Seaside Jewish Community Seaside Jewish Community invites the community them for a Bingo Night set for 8 p.m., Saturday, March 19. The cost is $5 per person and includes a three-pack of bingo cards for 20 games, a bingo blotter and all the brownies players can eat. There will be a prize for the winner of each game. Seaside Jewish Community is located at Ocean Wave Lodge on Holland Glade Road in Rehoboth Beach. Lent/Spring Equinox Labyrinth Walk set March 13 A Lent/Spring Equinox Labyrinth Walk will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 13, at St. Peter's Parish Hall, Second and Mulberry streets in Lewes. Both the indoor and outdoor labyrinths will be open for prayer and walking meditation. Live music will accompany the walk. Church of Our Savior grief group to meet weekly Beginning March 30, the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Rehoboth Beach will offer a grief support group for the community. The group will offer knowledge about the grieving process, support while grieving and friendship with those in similar situations. Individuals who may benefit are those who have suffered the recent death of a loved one. The group meets from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednes- days, for six sessions at the church. High school youth conference is March 18-20 Impact 2005: Your Time to Soar, a high school youth conference, will be held Friday, March 18, through Sunday, March 20, at the Ocean City Convention Center, Ocean City, Md. The event includes dynamic youth speaker Laurie Polich, comedians Ted & Lee and music by the Dave Crowder Band and Mark Cable as well as student workshops, prayer and worship experiences and more. VOTF to meet March 16 in Bethany Beach The Coastal Delmarva chapter of Voice of the Faithful (VOTF) will meet at 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, at the South Coastal Library, 49 Kent Avenue, Bethany Beach. Voice of the Faithful has three goals: to support those who have been abused; to support priests of integrity, and to shape structural change Within the Church. Recovery group to meet weekly at Bethel UM Church Celebrate Recovery is a spiritually based program sponsored by Bethel United Methodist Church in Lewes that allows people to come together to deal with past or current hurts. Losses that come from expe- riences such as death, divorce, illness, finances, abuses, addictions, eat- ing disorders, depression, anger and anxiety, etc. will be the focus of the support group. The group will meet from 7 to 9 p.m.; Thursdays begin- ning March 10. The church is located at 129 W. Fourth Street in Lewes. Lenten series focuses on racism and faith Journey of Faith, a Mission Area Ministry Lenten series sponsored by the United Methodist Church, is a study and dialogue around racism and faith. The series will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays through March 16, and on Holy Thursday, March 24. Meetings will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach. The study book is "Letters Across the Divide: Two Friends Explore Racism, Friendship and Faith," by the Rev. Dr. David Anderson and Brent Zuercher. Took a Vacation From Beebe But Couldn't Get Away From Sussex Georgetown's Bill and Beth Vogdes - a CNA at Beebe Medical Center - traveled last fall to New Brunswick Province in Canada to tour its cities and wound up at the Maple Shade B&B in - where else? - the town of Sussex. Located in the eastern por- tion of New Brunswick Province, Sussex is the dairy capital of the Maritime Provinces. "The old Canadian National Train Depot shown in the background of the photo- graph here is preserved as our station is in Georgetown - a symbol of past days," wrote Beth on their return. "Traveling throughout the trip on pub- lic buses, we kept a copy of the Cape Gazette at the ready to help pass the time between scenic views."
