Late obituaries John P. Rose III, Lewes Caterer John P. Rose III, 29, of Lewes and formerly of Wilmington, died Monday, March 9, 1998, of an aneurysm in his home. Mr. Rose was educated and ex- perienced in the culinary arts and was in the process of establishing a catering business at the Delaware shore area. He was a graduate of the Sanford School, Hockessin, where he excelled in athletics, achieving all-state recognition in both baseball and soccer; the University of Southern Alabama; and the Philadelphia Restaurant School. Mrs. Rose was a longtime employee of the Fox Point Grill in Wilmington. He is survived by his mother, Lynne R. Morrison of Lewes; his father, John P. Rose Jr. of Boyn- ton Beach, Fla.; maternal grand- parents, Norman K. Doelze and E. Gwynne Doelze of Wilmington; two half sisters, Tara Rose and Tori Rose of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and a cousin, Nicholas Meloni, with whom he stayed while in Wilmington. Service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, at the Chan- dler Funeral Homes, 2506 Con- cord Pike, Wilmington. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. on Fri- day at the Chandler Funeral Homes, Wilmington. Burial will be in the Gracelawn Memorial Park. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Harold D. Hayes, worked in construction Harold D. Hayes, 47, of Ellen- dale died Thursday, March 5, 1998, in Portsmouth, Va. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Hayes was employed in the construction field. -He is survived by five brothers, George Long of Salisbury, Md., Gregory Long of Smyrna, James Long of Milton, Charles Long of Ellendale and Timothy Long of Milford; three sisters, Shirley Per- ry of Lewes, Gladys Long of Georgetown and Cynthia Long of Dover; two sons-in-law; a daugh- ter-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and aunts. Service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, at the Church of God, George- town, where friends may call two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Old Hickory Cemetery. Peter Macdonald, worked for B&g-Veol Peter Macdonald, 75, of Lewes, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998, at Beebe Medical Center. Mr. Macdonald was born in Caithness, Scotland. He was a graduate of Glasgow University and Cranfield Aeronautical Col- lege and served in the Royal Air Force during World War II. Mr. Macdonald worked for Boeing- Vertol in Ridley Township, retir- ing in 1989. He and his wife moved to Lewes in 1996. He was a member of the St. Peter's Epis- copal Church in Lewes. He en- joyed music and studying lan- guages. Mr. Macdonald is survived by his wife, Cynthia Mervyn Mac- donald; three daughters, Isabella Engleback of Ridley Park, Pa., Al- ison Macdonald of Corvallis, Ore., and Elspeth Macdonald of Boston; a son, Alistair Macdonald of Manchester, N.H.; and six grandchildren. Burial will be in Scotland. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Contributions are sug- gested to the RAF Benevolent Fund, 67 Portland Place, London WIN 3AJ, Esgland.
