The announcement was made by Phil Barefoot, vice president of marketing for Chesa- peake Utilities, at the company's new Sharp Living by Chesapeake store in the Gateway West Plaza in Dover. Dover mayor Jim Hutchison performed the ribbon- cutting honors. "The mobile kiosk is a 'house on wheels' featuring four vi- gnettes including a living area with working gas fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, contemporary laundry room and even a patio featuring the latest in gas grills," Barefoot said. The mobile kiosk is the compa- ny's second major undertaking in recent months in new retailing concepts, having opened a unique retail store in Gateway West Plaza during October 1999. The kiosk measures eight feet wide by 48-feet long and is pulled by an extended cab pickup truck. Because the concept is brand new, "we built the kiosk from the ground up," Barefoot said.
