Cushing joins SOLitude Lake Management after spending four years working with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Pacific States Marine Fisher- ies Commission. He earned his MS in biology as a part of the Arkansas Fish and Wildlife Cooperative Unit at the University of Arkansas. There, his thesis and research focused on the impact of catch-and- release on the movement and survival of rainbow trout in Ar- kansas tailwaters. He also holds a BS from the State University of New York College-of Environ- mental Science and Forestry at Syracuse in environmental and forest biology focusing on fisher- ies and aquatic science. Haley has more than seven years of water quality, fisher- ies and wildlife experience and holds a BS in fisheries and wildlife sciences from the Uni- versity of Missouri-Columbia. His professional field experience includes management of lakes and ponds for nuisance and inva- sive aquatic vegetation and algae, managing quality fisheries, and servicing fountains and aeration systems. He has also worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service monitoring spawning grounds and outmigration and the U.S. Geological Survey surveying sil- - ver carp and bighead carp.
