Camp Arrowhead hosts campers and conferences from February through November The Episcopal Diocese of Delaware has operated Camp Arrowhead on the western shore of Rehoboth Bay since 1954. According to Betty Carmine, who along with her husband, Terry, have operated the camp for 44 years, the camp's 160 acres include woods, marshes and beach. In 1997 the camp hosted 940 campers, including 120 children who attended day ses- sions at the facility. Betty said the camp accommodates up to 150 resident campers for one- and two.week sessions during the summer months Along Dennis Forney photo with the Carmine Environmental Center on the grounds, the camp oper- ates 10 months a year, hosting groups from February through November. "Our camp philosophy follows the Episcopal liturgy which essentially teaches people to get along with one another regardless of their religion and to help people understand their relationship with God through na- ture. Located between Sally's Cove to the south and West Bay Park to the north, Camp Arrowhead's roots go back to a 1920s boys' camp. |||||||||ill-ill.- l|||ll||||l||||
