38 - CAPE GAZE&apos;IWE, Friday, March 27 - April 2, 1998 Houses of W0rshi Church Notes Pulpit exchanges mark Lutheran Lenten services The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 7 Bay Vista Road, Rehoboth Beach, will participate in an exchange of pulpits and pastors from five peninsula Lutheran churches during the five Wednesday evenings of Lent. Services will be at 7:30 p.m. each evening; the theme is "The Passion As ! Remembered It." Each pastor will take on the role of a leading figure in the Passion of Christ. The individual sermon themes include the following: April 1 - "Pilate: I Couldn't Make the Hard Decision," with speaker the Rev. Edwin Thress of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Rehoboth. Everyone is invited to attend the services. Lenten healing services set at Lewes Presbyterian Lewes Presbyterian Church invites the public to attend special healing services during Lent at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, March 29, at 133 Kings Highway. Individuals may come forward for anointing and prayer by the pastor and other ordained ministers. Nursery service is provided. Unitarian Universalism to be explored in Lewes Deanna G. Shanley will present three programs exploring Unitarian Universalism from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Sundays March 29 and April 5, in the Cannon Lab Room 104, College of Marine Studies, Lewes. The programs, sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Southern Delaware, are free and the public is encouraged to attend. Shanley is a historian from the Wilmington area who taught European and world history for 20 years and has led adult education courses at the First Unitarian Church of Wilmington. The topics include the following: March 29 - "The Play" will feature six presenters representing a variety of backgrounds and spifituaVphilosophical viewpoints within the movement from humanist to Christian. Participants include Josh Fein, Aaron Hamburger, Pare Finkleman, Jim Lee, -Diane Minka and Doyle Dobbins from the First Unitarian Church. April 5 - "Where Do We Go from Here" will feature panelists, including Beverly Baxter, Joy Reese, David and Gayle Sheppard and Phil Stewart, who will focus on the activities of the church from religious education to social action. The Unitarian Universalist Church of Southern Delaware holds services at Lewes Middle School every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Camp Pecometh to hold open house Camp Pecometh, a summer resident camp sponsored by the Peninsula-Delaware United Methodists, is offering an open house on Friday, April 3, 4 to 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 4, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, April 5, noon to 5 p.m. All are welcome to tour the camp property, meet staff and learn more about the facilities, camping program and ministry. Camp Pecometh offers one-week summer camping programs June 14 - August 14. The resident camping program are for youth grades one to 12.
