Easter Promenade set for Rehoboth March 30 The 45th annual Easter Prome- nade will give the community an opportunity to strut their stuff in an array of spring fashions in Re- hoboth Beach Convention Center on Sunday, March 30. Sponsored by the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce, the promenade will begin at 1 p.m. The Easter Bunny will distrib- ute plastic eggs containing chil- dren's prizes, with special enter- tainment by Paul Hadfield as "Spats" the lost vaudevillian. Spats will provide a zany mix of egg-juggling, unicycling, ladder walking, rope spinning, fruit toss- ing, pratfalling, joke cracking and character acting in addition to act- ing as emcee for the event. Additional entertainers include Big Dogs from Big Dogs Sports- wear and Carlton the Bear that Cares. There will be an opportu- nity for photos with the Easter Bunny at $5 each complete with holiday mounting from First State Photo Service.. Trophies donated by area mer- chants will be awarded in the fol- lowing best dressed categories: Babes in Arms (1-11 months) boy and girl; Best Dressed Baby Girl and Boy (1-2 years); Best Dressed Toddler Girl and Boy (3-4 years); Best Dressed young Girl and Boy (5-8 years); Best Dressed Pre- Teen (9-12 years); Best Easter Bonnet (any age); Best Dressed Family and two Easter Show Spe- cials. CASE LIQUOR 11,75 LITER First Rotary Rally set for Georgetown The Georgetown-Millsboro Ro- tary Club has chosen has chosen Saturday, May 3 as the date of its premier Rotary Rally. Carl Maschauer, who heads the com- mittee, said it will be geared to- ward family participation and a good time, rather than speed rac- ing and record setting. According- ly, there will be 12.5 mile and 25 mile courses - which are just right for a family outing. There will al- so be a 50 mile course for serious riders. These courses will begin at 9 a.m. at Sussex Central Senior High School in Georgetown, and wind their way through the spring countryside towards Millsboro. The cost for the rally packet - which includes a handsome long- sleeved T-shirt - is $20 before April 4, and $25 after that date. The proceeds will benefit local community charities and projects. While rest areas, refreshments and a safety team will ensure comfort, helmets will be required of all rid- ers.
