Cape Gazette NEWS TUESDAY, APRIL 2- THURSDAY, APRIL 4, 2013 11 Obituaries )) Francis Ditman, Milton volunteer Francis "Frankie" Ditman, 63, of Milton, formerly of Baltimore, Md., died at home Saturday, March 30, 2013. He was born in Baltimore, Nov. 6, 1949, and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a carpenter prior to becoming disabled. He moved to Milton five years ago and became in- volved in the community. He was chaplain for the Milton VFW and the ladies auxiliary where he helped with Friday night dinners. He worked on the pirate ship in Lewes and raced turtles to help raise money for the Clam Jam, the Orchid Society and Milton Garden Club. He designed the landscaping for Irish Eyes. He was gifted at quilling, and various pieces of his art are throughout museum gift shops in the Bal- timore area. He was tn'eceded in death by his father, Edward Ditman. He is survived by his loving mother: Mary Noreen Ditman Rausch; two children: Karla Pa- hel and Laura Champion; sisters: Mary Rita Grant and Patricia Dit- man; three grandchildren: Jonah, Aidan, and Devin; several nieces and nephews; and his compan- ion: Deborah Dobias. Foraker, 81, of Milton, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013, at home. Alvin was born in Harrington, son of the late Richard and Fan- nie (Ranghley) Foraker. He was the assistant chief for Lewes Board of Public Works, re- tiring several years ago. He loved fishing, NASCAR and WWE; as an accomplished mechanic, he enjoyed building and driving race cars. Alvin was an Army veteran of the Korean War. In addition to his parents and siblings, Alvin is preceded in death by his wife: Mary A. Foraker; and a son: Robert Mar- ciniszyn. He is survived by three chil- dren: George Marciniszyn and wife Debbie, and Fannie Pickett, all of New Castle, and Elizabeth Moore and her fian- ce Granville William Mills of Milton; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a great- great-grandson. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 4, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton with visi- tation after 11 a.m. Burial will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery.
