Beacon Mission opens Greenwood thrift shop The Beacon Mission, a non profit organization, has completed a thrift store project, and the store is now open to the public. The Rev. Art Titus and his wife Carol, founders of Beacon Mission, said that the store is stocked with good used clothing and some household goods, all avail- able at low prices. The thrift store is located on the Titus farm, Sussex 612, just off of U.S. 13, north of Greenwood. Beacon Mission was start- ed in the fall of 1996 as a project to get quality food to those in need. Most of the food is donated, and much of it comes from a national food_. store chain as part of an on-going community service program. The Ti- tuses got the thrift store idea when they made food deliveries and saw neeM for clothing and housewares. Beacon Mission accepts donations of good clothing, appliances and furniture and cash.
