Gertie's Greengrocer to celebrate five years with festival on April 5 This Saturday, April 5, will mark the fifth anniversary of Ger- tie's Greengrocer, Ltd., a full-ser- vice health food store located in the heart of historic Lewes. Founder Gertie Hillman is plan- ning a festive day-long celebra- tion at her Second Street Store to thank the customers and friends whose continued support has made this milestone possible. The celebration starts at 10 a.m., with balloons and music and a taste of special anniversary cake created by Chocolate Festival winner Bruce Mead of Tastefully Done. A refreshing rice drink from Harmony Farms will also be given to all comers. On-the-hour drawings will be featured throughout the day for baskets full of goodies from Ger- tie's major suppliers including Gala Herbs, Walnut Acres, Tree of Life, and Enzymatic Therapy. New health and beauty aids from Aubrey's and Burt's Bees will be included, as well as baked goods from Bruce Mead and a $25 gift certificate from Gertie's.
