Chamber postpones
"Milton Dream" until fall
The Milton Chamber of Com-
merce decided at its Wednesday,
March 27 meeting to postpone the
Milton Dream conference sched-
uled for Wednesday, April 3 due
to a lack of participants from out-
side the Cape Region. According
to Barbara Fleetwood, executive
director of the Milton Chamber of
Commerce, the Milton marketing
conference will be rescheduled for
a time in the fall. She said the
chamber may consider marketing
the conference either in a different
manner or in a different location
prior to the event.
Fleetwood announces
Chamber resignation

director, has announced that she
will resign from her position, ef-
fective Monday, April 8. Fleet-
wood is the only director the
chamber has ever had; she has
held the position for 10 years.
Fleetwood made her decision to
leave the chamber after being of-
fered a job with Omni Bank in
Millsboro, where she will earn a
higher salary and receive benefits.
"It was a very, very hard deci-
sion to make," said Fleetwood.
"I've been in this job for 10 years,
and it's got my heart and soul."
She said that she will volianteer
her time to help train her replace-
ment during the evenings and
weekends.
No replacement has yet been
named.

BIE to hold job fair
The Ninth Annual Kent Coun-
ty/Business, Industry, Educaiion
Alliance Job Fair will take place
on Wednesday, April 17, from 8
a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Polytech
Adult Education Center, Denny's
Road, Dover. This year's theme
will be "Focus on Your Future."
