She also leaves 29 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren, 27 great- great-grandchildren, three sis- ters: Jessie Cole of New York, Pa- tricia Mann and Delores An- drews of Seaford; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives. Elsie Emerson, devoted to family Elsie Emerson, 94, of Re- hoboth Beach, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012, in Lewes. She was born in Carroll, Pa., Tuesday, June 12,1917, daughter of the late James and Mary (O'Neil) Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Bud" Emer- son: her son, Robert T. Laverick; and daughter-in-law, Jean (Churella) Laverick. Mrs. Emerson was a resident of Rehoboth Beach for the past 11 years, originating from Nanty Glo, Pa. She was a homemaker and the last surviving member of her large immediate family. She was a member of the First Bap- tist Church of Nanty Glo and a member of the former Evans- burg Chapter 303 of O. E. S. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
