"We skied three different mountains - Heavenly, Northstar. and Squaw Valley;" they wrote on their return. "The mild winter didn't deter us as over a foot of snow fell soon after we arrived. Sixty-degree temps were at the base near the lake and freezing temps on the top of the mountains. One day showed a rain- bow on the mountain. Beautiful area and crystal clear Lake Tahoe ms a must see destination any time of year. Of course, it's well known that when you're in the mountains, you're ready to ski, the clouds are thick and heavy with moisture and the temperature is below 32 degrees, it takes little more than rustling the pages of the Cape Gazette to make those beautiful crystals start spreading their magic blanket over the slopes. * Share your adventures with fellow Cape Gazette readers! - Take your Cape Gazette on your travels and send us a photo and description - and don't forget names!
