+ 56 - CAPE GAZETTE - Friday, April 11 - Monday, April 14, 2008 i Submitted photo Keenoters to play 'Broadway' April 19 The Keenote Chorale will present its 9th annual Outdoor Spring Show at 6-15 p.m., Saturday, April 19, at the Keenote Music Studio in Lincoln. The show is a virtual tour of Broadway shows - the audience is traveling on the Great White Way and peeking in on the kids getting ready for open- ing night. The show includes songs from "Cats," "A Chorus Line," "Bye Bye Birdie," "The Sound of Music," "Peter Pan" and more. The Keenote Chorale includes singers ages 6 through 16. They will sing, dance and present familiar songs for all to enjoy. The show is open to the public - bring a chair and enjoy. There will be refreshments following the perform- ance. Walnut St., Milford. Diamond Dance Company has performed nine annual productions of "The Nutcracker," as well as two spring performances of the ballet "Coppelia." The show will include classical ballet pieces, such as "Pas de Quatre," which was choreo- graphed by the company's artistic director emeritus, Tatiana Akinfieva-Smiila. There will also be contemporary ballet, modem, lyrical, and hip hop pieces fea- tured in the showcase, as well as several numbers performed by First State Little Strings. The cast includes dancers from throughout Kent and Sussex counties who study ballet in Milford, Georgetown and Seaford. Tickets for the show are $8 for students and seniors 55 and ol(ier, and $10 for adults. Tickets can be purchased at the First State Academy of Dance on Maple Avenue in Milford from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on weeknights or at Lou's Bootery on Walnut Street. They will also be on sale at the door prior to the performance. Anyone interested in reserving tickets or obtaining more infor- mation can call the Diamond Dance Company at 934-7339. Local restaurateur Matthew Haley will be hosting his popular Food Chat at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, at Fish On in Lewes. in the Villages of Five Points. Since moving to Fish On, Food Chat has grown in popularity.
