CAPE GAZETTE - Friday, April 11 - Monday, April 14, 2008 - 75 CHSP Friends to hold flea market fundraiser April 12 The Friends ofCape Henlopen State Park will hold its annual flea market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 12, at the Seaside Nature Center in the park. The public is invited to browse and buy. The flea market will feature an array of items including a pair of Tony Lama cow- girl boots, antiques, jewelry, many house- hold items including Cephalon pans and Pfaltzgraff dishes, garden tools and toys. There will be a raffle for a spring straw hat door decoration. In addition to the flea market items, the Friends will be selling natured-themed embroldered T-shirts, hats and silk- screened canvas tote bags as well as chances on a gold watchtower pendant necklace by B ellinger's Jewelers. The Sussex Gardeners will be on hand offering worms for use in the garden or compost pile. Hot dogs and drinks will be available for sale during the event. Anyone wishing to donate an item in good condition is asked to drop it off at the Seaside Nature Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, April 11. For more informa- tion, call 684-0509. Steven BIIlups photos Osprey Festival takes flight at Seaside Nature Center Cape Henlopen State Park hosted its Second Annual Osprey Festival Saturday, April 5, at the park's Seaside Nature Center. The event is a celebration of the yearly return of the osprey to the Cape Region. Featured were fun and games for the children, live music and awildlife display from the Maryland Park Service's Scales and Tales. The osprey cam at the nature cen- ter was also available for viewing an osprey working on its nest. The cam will soon be online thanks to the efforts of the Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park.
