Steven Billup$ photo Local poets, writers to refd in Dewey The second reading in its series celebrating National Poetry Month at Booksandcoffee will feature new prose voices Ann Reed, Alan O'Leary, and Denise Cavaliere at 2 p.m., Sunday April 13, at the bookstore in Dewey Beach. Reed is a native of Rehoboth Beach, an aspiring first-time nov- elist and a member of the Rehoboth Art League Writers' Group and the Rehoboth Beach Writers' Guild. Her novel, "On A Dime," is a suspenseful tale of embezzlement, love and betrayal. Set in Lewes, Reed's story is inspired by local roots, a passion for family, golf and two decades in banking: O'Leary, also of Rehoboth, grew up in a Minnesota mining town and spent the first half of his life in the West. He moved east and spent 30 years writing as a psychologist, none of it, he says, creative. His memoir/novel, yet to be named, is a brawling adventure, full of wonderfully drawn charac- ters, set in those rough-and-tum- ble Minnesota days when mining Grizzly's is Your Organic Gard( Source changed and towns disappeared. Cavaliere is a native New , Yorker, now living in Milton. She was a belly dancer in the Big Apple for more than 20 years, as well as an administrative assis- tant for Getty Oil and Trans World Airlines. Her first book will be coming out in May and its title - "As The Belly Rolls." FREE GR00ZZLY00 NDSC PE SUPPIY & SERVICES FLOWERS TO BRIGHTEN YOUR GARDEN . . . FROM GRIZZLY'S!
