50 - CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, April 14 - April 20, 1995 Rehoboth Easter Promenade Sunday Spend Easter Sunday in Rehoboth Beach and en- joy the 43rd Annual Easter Promenade which begins at 1 p.m., in Rehoboth Beach Convention Hall. Sponsored by the City of Rehoboth Beach and the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Com- merce, Ralph McKinney will act as master of cere- monies, along with the Easter Bunny. WGMD 92.7 FM will broadcast live from 1 to 3 p.m., and best dressed entries in a variety of categories from new- born to senior citizen will be judged. This year's judges are Craig Krick, Summer House Restaurant; Dawn Godfrey, Carlton's; Linda DiDomenicus, Boston's; Bob Frederick, mayor of Dewey Beach; and Miss Delaware Letitia Pusey. According to chairman Joan Caggiano, the Easter Bunny and his helpers will distribute plastic Easter eggs containing small prizes, with entertainment by the Kiddie Disco show, featuring Snow White and the white Power Ranger. Children will receive "make it, take it chicks" to take home and all paflici- pants will receive an Easter sticker. Children may have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny by First State Photo for a small charge. Windsor's will decorate Convention Hall. Committee members include Carol Everhart, Christine Hastings, Dayna Quillen, Bitsy Cochran, Gina Forcucci and Delores Gue. For more informa- tion contact the Chamber at 227-2233 Flower Festival Show slated April 22 The scent of flowers will per- vade Rehoboth Beach on Saturday and Sunday, April 22-23, when the First Rehoboth Beach Flower Festival will take place. Rehoboth Convention Hail will be filled with everything to do with gardening, flowers and herbs, including miniature roses by RosehiU Farms; organic herbs and edible flowers by Good Scents Herbs; a variety of bird- houses by Wild Birds Unlimited; orchids by Hollyberry; garden ponds by Progressive Fiberglass; dried flowers by Circles by Carol and Mother Nature; planters from The Past; and stained glass flow- ers by Single Mill Glass. The entry will be adorned with landscaping and garden displays by DeVilbiss Landscape Archi- tects and JB Landscaping. There will be a series of lectures and demonstrations by Jay Windsor of the Delaware Extension Service, Lowe's, the Association of Pro- fessional Landscape Designers, in Rehoboth Convention Hall JB Landscaping, the Sea Horse Restaurant and Good Scents Herb and Flower Company. There will also be a Shore Inn and Bed and Breakfast Walking Tour, with a map to provide direc- tions to their porches and grounds. Also slated are crafts for the chil- dren, clowns and face painting, as well as a mini-puppet show. Art in the Park at The Grove is slated both days, featuring over 30 local artists and admission is free. Four restaurants, The Sea Horse, Ann Made's, Blue Moon and Back Porch Cafe will provide food among the flowers. There will also be a mini-marketplace with vendors selling flower-relat- ed items and wears at the corner of First Street and Rehoboth Avenue. The festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday. The cost to enter Convention Hall is $I, with chil- dren six and under free.
