The senior Criminal Justice technology class at Sussex Technical High School recently vis- ited Washington, D.C. as guests of Sen. Tom Carper. They were given behind-the-scenes tours of the Hart Building, Capitol and Supreme Court. While there, they observed a session of the U.S. Senate while debate was ongoing about the possible mortgage lender bail-out. (n  P I) The EDiS Company will award two $1,000 Generation III Scholarships this year to high school seniors residing in Delaware who are interested in studying business or construction- related fields. The scholarship may be used to pursue an associ- ate's or bachelor's degree at the University of Delaware, Delaware State University, Delaware Technical & Community College, Goldey Beacom College or Wesley College, all in Delaware, or Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. Academic achievement, finan- cial need and field of study will be considered in selecting the recipi- ents. The scholarship is renewable for students who maintain a 2.5 or greater grade point average. EDiS employees and their family mem- bers are not eligible. EDiS will announce the recipients of the Generation III Scholarship on Friday, May 30.
