54 - CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, The following movies are now playing in the resort area: Anaconda - A film crew on the Amazon stumbles across the killer snake. Stars Ice Cube, Jen- nifer Lopez, Jon Voight and Eric Stoltz. Rated PG-13. Shine - Inspired by the trou- bled but triumphant life of classi- cal pianist David Helfgott, this Oscar-winning motion picture fo- cuses on Helfgott&apos;s painful retreat into a private world while still in his early 20's and on the brink of a glittering international career. Geoffrey Rush won an Academy Award for the movie, his fLrst ma- jor screen role. Rated PG-13. MeHale's Navy - When a ma- niacal terrorist threatens the laid- back lifestyle of ex-Navy Com- mander Quinton McHale (Tom Arnold) he mobilizes his motley crew of misfits to save the inhabi- tants of their tiny Caribbean island and make the world safe for democracy. Also stars David Alan Grier. Rated PC. Murder at 1600 - Wesley Snipes investigates a murder in the White House. Diane Lane is a Secret Service agent who helps him. Jason Robards is the presi- dent. Rated R. 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag - Joe Pesci stars in a raucous comedy about a mob bag man whose lug- gage containing eight human heads, crucial proof of a recent hit, gets switched at the airport and goes south of the border with a-family vacationing in Mexico. Also stars David Spade, Kristy Swanson, George Hamilton and DyanCannon. Rated R. Gross Point Blank - Despite the fact that he's a felon, John Cu- sack ("The Sure Thing") can't help but attract the affection of Minnie Driver ("Circle of Friends") in this unique look at modern day romance. Cusack al- so wrote and produced the movie. Rated R. The Saint - Val Kilmer stars in the saintly title role. He's a man of many disguises, who's able to woo women, drive around in a sporty Saab, and finally end up romantically involved with co- star Elisabeth Shue. Rated PG-13. That Old Feeling - Happily divorced for 15 years, Bette Mi- Roadrunnner Rally slated for April 19 The first annual Roadrunner Rally is scheduled for Saturday, April 19 at 9"30 a.m. at Delaware Tech in Georgetown. Attendees can decorate their cars, spend the day with family and friends, and follow the clues to a secret finish line. There will be refreshments available for purchase, and music and food await those who finish. There will be prizes awarded. The Rally is sponsored by the Student Government Association at the campus and is open to the public. The cost is $5 for the driver and $5 for the navigator; other riders are free. Rated R. Liar, Liar - Jim Carrey is no George Washington in this new comedy. Because of a wish made by his young son, his character cannot tell a lie. Rated PG-13, Sling Blade - Oscar winner Billy Bob Thorton wrote the screenplay, directed, and starred in this critically-acclaimed film about a learning disabled man who is released from a state asy- lum and is faced with life in the real world. Rated R. Jerry Maguire - Tom Cruise plays a high-powered sports agent who works for a high-profile sports management agency. Cruises' Maguire stumbles into a new kind of life with single morn Dorothy (played by newcomer Rennee Zellweger). Cuba Good. ing, Jr. raked in an Oscar for his role as a pro football star.
