Based on the novel by Stephen King. Stars Kathy Bates, in the title role with Jennifer Jason Leigh as her incest survivor daughter. Rated R. Circle of Friends: Coming- of-age tale, set in Ireland, about a trio of small-town girls who find romance, friendship and tough choices when they leave their reli- gious homes to attend the Univer- sity of Dublin..Stars Chris O'Donnell, Colin Firth and Min- nie Driver. Rated PG. Tommy Boy: Comedy about an irresponsible, loutish son of wealthy parents. Stars Chris Far- ley, David Spade, Rob Lowe and Bo Derek. Rated PG-13. The Pebble and the Pen- guin: Animated musical adven- ture, set in Antarctica, about a ro- mantic penguin who must combat a fowl foe to present a "betrothal pebble" to the penguin of his dreams. Featuring the voices of Martin Short, Annie Golden, Tim Curry and Jim Belushi. Rated G. Don Juan DeMarco: A psy- chiatrist undergoing a midlife cri- sis is assigned to evaluate a young patient Who thinks he is Don Juan, the world's greatest lover. The 53-year-old ex-psychiatrist and screenwriter Jeremy Leven makes his feature directorial debut from his own screenplay. Stars Marion Brando, Faye Dunaway, Johnny Depp and Bob Dishy. Rated PG- 13. Jury Duty: Comedy about a sequestered juror who enjoys his free accommodations so much he prolongs deliberations on an ordi- narily open-and-shut case. Stars Pauly Shore, Tia Carrere, Abe Vigoda, Brian Doyle-Murray and Shelley Winters. Rated PG- 13. A Goofy Movie: Disney's cartoon klutz makes his feature starring debut as an accident- prone dad trying to bond with his teenage son. Featuring the voices of Jason Marsden, Bill Farmer, Kellie Martin, Jenna Von Oy, Jim Cummings, Rob Paulsen, Wallace Shawn, Joanne Worley, Joey Lawrence and Julie Brown. Rated G. Bad Boys: Comedy action film about a pair of police detec- tive buddies who must track down a major crime ring after $I00 mil- lion in confiscated heroin disap- pears. Stars Martin Lawrence and Will Smith. Rated R. Outbreak: Medical thriller about a deadly, out-of-control virus. Stars Dustin Hoffman, Rene Russo, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey, Cuba Gooding and Joe Don Baker. Rated R. Forrest Gump: Tom Hanks stars as the child-like title charac- ter, who sits on a bus bench and regales passers-by with tales of his adventures as an All-American football player, a decorated war" hero and a prosperous business- man.
