gre Jhauf benefit set 13 a A concert to benefit the Colombe Freuhauf Fund and NIH Cancer Institute will be held Sun- day, April 30 at Rehoboth Beach Convention Hall. Sponsored by a group of con- cerned friends and CAMP Re- hoboth, the benefit will feature top resort bands Love Seed Mama Jump and Tisra Till. Slated for 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., tick- ets, $10, with $1 drafts, $2 cans and $3 shots, care available at the bands' concerts and Arena's, Cloud 9 and Blue Moon, or by calling 226-9129. Colombe Fruehauf is a good friend to may local people, having worked as a served here for some time, most recently at LaLa Land. Married to Adam Fruehauf, who is also known as a Rehoboth chef, Colombe learned last year that she has Hodgkin's Disease, a form of lymphoma that his highly treat- able. While the couple usually spends winters working in New Mexico, the chemotherapy treat- ments have interrupted the Freuhaufs' routine, so a group of concerned friends have organized this fundraiser. Love Seed Mama Jump and Tis- ra Til are donating their services, with the former also donating the sound and lighting equipment. The Fruehaufs plan to donate any funds over and above their med- ical needs to the NIH Cancer In- stitute. For more information or to con- tribute, call 226-9129. Music coming to Lewes Senior Center Jesse Friend (right), a jazz musician and vocalist who is presently a senior at Cape Henlopen High School, will perform several of his origi- nal compositions at the Lewes Senior Center, Nas- sau, at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 30, under the sponsorship of Gene Yenni's music studio. Friend right,, who has twice received the Scotty Jazz Scholarship and performed at Sydney's Restaurant and Blues Placeas well as the Re- hoboth Jazz Festival, has al. so performed with the Sea- side Entertainers. He will be preceded by (1. to r.) Shelly Beauchamp, Melissa Lowe, Sarah Jane Berl, Matthew McLaughlin and Sean Lackn- er shown at left, as well as Tara McCredie and Kevin Chamberlin (not shown), who are budding middle school musicians. The public is invited to attend the con- cert, free of charge.
