40 - CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, April 21 - April 27, 1995 Flower Fest blossoms in Rehoboth / The first Rehoboth Beach Flower Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 22- 23. Convention Hall will be filled with the smell of spring flowers and a taste of Food Among the Flowers. Some of the features in the hall and at the comer of First Street and Rehoboth Avenue will include Early Attic Antiques, Good Scents Herbs and Flowers, Hollyberry Orchids, Long Neck Garden Center plants, Lowe's power equipment, Lore of the Land live animals, Lydia's Coun- try Cottage wreaths, Scandinavian Occasion baskets of silks, Stuart Kingston Galleries garden motif, Robin's live plants, Shingle Mill Stained Glass Studio glass art, as well as flower balloons and games for children. Marketplace vendors also in- clude Gabby's South Pacific Florists, Mountain Memories, Na- ture Crafts, Wild Birds Unlimited, Rose Hill Farms, Planters from the Past and Elegant Illusions silk flowers. Kibbi Turner, president of American Professional Land- scape Design, will field questions on personal landscape needs. There will be a mini puppet show shown from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a pot a plant booth. The entrance to the hall will fea- ture a display of landscaping and gardens by DeVilbiss Landscape Architects and a miniature garden display featuring a pond by Chris Valenti of JB Landscaping. There will be a series of lectures and demonstrations including how to plant annuals; how to get rid of moles and voles; how to grow fresh herbs and how to cook with fresh herbs. Jan Adams, a noted Master Gardener, will give a talk on the easy care perennials. The cost to enter convention hall is $1, with children under 12 free.
