CAPE TAKES SIXTH IN CO-ED RELAYS - The Cape Henlopen Vikings hosted the fourth annual Cape Henlopen Co- ed Relays last Saturday afternoon at Cape Henlopen stadium under windy and cold track conditions. "I've never been down here when it wasn't windy," comment- ed Dover Coach Duane Henry af- ter downing his fourth hotdog of the afternoon. The Vikings only managed one championship on the day as high jumpers Maggie Widdoes and Dale Dunning captured the gold with a combined height of 10- foot-11. Widdoes, a sophomore, leaped to a new school record of 5-foot-3 to highlight the afternoon for the Vikings. Dunning cleared 5-foot-8. William Penn of New Castle won a close team championship with 77 points, while Central of Baltimore was second with 70 points. Third place went to Newark with 66 points, while Dover was fourth with 63 points. A.I Dupont scored 40 points to take fifth place, while the host Vikings scored 39 points in sixth place. Sussex Central of George- town took seventh place with 23 points, and Seaford High rounded out the scoring in eighth place with seven points.
