Sorority inducts officers, presents check
Beta Sigma Phi's Xi Chapter has been very active lately.
Above, right, Don Hearn from Delaware Hospice Southern Di-
vision accepts a check in the amount of $1,250 from Rosalie
Atkinson, sorority service chairperson, as Pat Robertson, out-
going president, looks on at a recent meeting. The money will
be used to benefit New Hope, a program which helps children
and adolescents work through the grief process when a loved
one dies. Above, new officers of Xi Chapter are (l.-r.) Kaye
Webb, treasurer, Greta Ludwig, president; Julie Tigue, vice
president; Diane Cooper, recording secretary, and Clare
Johnson corresponding secretary. Ludwig was chosen as the
Valentine Sweetheart for the sorority, an international tradi-
tion, for being so outgoing and friendly, as well as upholding
the ideals of Beta Sigma Phi. Also honored was the sorority's
Girl of the Year, Barbara Catts (right), who was voted the
most giving of herself and willing to help get the job done.
Catts, who lives in Lewes and works for the city, was chair-
man of this year's Chinese auction as head of the Ways and
Means Committee and has been a member for 11 years.
